Harvey G. Phillips Award

Concertino has won the Harvey G. Phillips Award for Excellence in Composition. The piece was commissioned by Sérgio Carolino, who was present with the composer for the presentation at the International Tuba and Euphonium Conference at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA. The Conference also featured a performance of Caprice by Matt van Emmerik with the River City Brass Band, conducted by James Gourlay
